KK Furnishings, our furniture manufacturing business, was established in SE Queensland in 1976. With a strong, versatile background in high quality furniture designing, manufacturing, upholstery and interior decorating, we create and distribute the “X-Line Furniture by Design” upholstered fine furniture. Very much in a family tradition, since Kurt’s father Otto established “Knoepfli Mobel” in Schaffhausen Switzerland in 1932, a large successful furniture manufacturing and retailing business. We combine the talents of generations of artist craftsmen with tradition and history. Kurt Knoepfli, furniture and interior designer and highly skilled upholsterer, qualified with a reputable, old established firm in Sulgen, Switzerland. He became a member of the Upholstery & Designers Guild before moving into the family business, where for 12 years he took charge of the design and manufacture of lounge suites with interior decorating, which in Switzerland entails the full spectrum of interior design. With a staff of 45, his experience was built and with that, innovation, creativity in design and attention to detail were learnt and practically applied during those valuable years. KK Furnishings has a reputable and proud history in the industry. X-line Furniture By Design is the custom design branch of our business. Kurt and Lyn Knoepfli, Managing Directors and husband and wife team, personally oversee all operations. Over the years, they have gained an enviable reputation for creative design expertise, with a point of difference. At KK Furnishings, we do not compromise!
